Devil Moon resumed in a totally unsuitable race first up where she conceded weight to her male rivals, so wouldn’t get overly carried away with her disappointing effort. She flies second up (2 wins from 3) and the tight Canterbury track shouldn’t pose a problem as she’s won at the similarly configured Moonee Valley track. Multiple group race winner and could easily be way too good for them. The $12 fixed odds being quoted presently are extremely attractive.

Forensics has been blistering in her two wins this campaign. Miracle ride last time out when got clear mid way up the straight and thrashed her male opponents, which included last week’s Randwick Guineas minor placegetter (or was he?) Triple Honour. Can easily make it 3 in a row with the right luck.

Gallant Tess was a brilliant first up winner and has been given a freshen up since then. Very talented mare at her best however, will need a touch of luck from the bad barrier around the tight track and pace may be against her here.

Catechuchu shouldn’t get under your guard. Possibly gets a very cheap lead in this and does have a good turn of foot when asked. Chances also to Eskimo Queen, who never saw daylight first up and Mimi Lebrock who was out in the car park last time out and fought on doggedly.

November Flight is an underrated mare who is building an excellent overall record. On trial at this distance, but is race fit and with the expected cushy run behind the pace could cause a massive boilover.

Cannot fault the form of Forensics this Autumn (a definite Autumn horse). Undefeated and winning impressively in good fields reads well going into this. Could simply be too good.

Eskimo Queen was very unlucky in Melbourne last start and has good form racing clockwise. Should be running home strongly.
