Tricky little affair, the outcome of which will largely be determined by how much pressure is applied to likely leader Jungle Ruler.

If there’s any sort of speed in the race, Okay Oky has the form on the board at this track and distance to take the race and he seems extremely well weighted for what he has achieved to date.

Gunfire Messiah won convincingly at his return from a spell and has been kept fresh leading into this. Drawn to get the perfect run in behind the speed and will look the winner at some point in the straight.

Our Spur is a very consistent old stager and don’t be mislead by his less than impressive fresh record. His recent efforts off a break have been very useful and with the apprentice’s claim he gets in nicely here and should position handy in the run.

Gunfire Messiah was excellent first-up in beating a pretty good field. Up in weight, but drawn to get a lovely run and is the one to beat.

Archie Senior was good first-up behind Blahnik. Should be improved for that run and expect a good win.

Jungle Ruler should get it pretty easy out in front and if that eventuates could be hard to run down.
