Jukebox Johnny was 1st up last time out and was most unlucky not to finish closer after being held up til well down the straight. Will be hugely improved from the run, goes very well at this track and distance and has got in very nicely at the weights considering his spring form was around superior horses to what he meets here.
Offenbach crushed his rivals down in Tassie last time, which followed a narrow but solid win over this track and distance. Likely to go forward and make his own luck and will be in the finish again.
Barwon Express was being trialled at this distance last time out and probably wasn’t ridden to advantage but getting that far back in the running. Small field today will allow him to take a close sit and despite not being proven at this distance he does go around on the minimum and has talent.

About Face ran a cracker behind Offenbach two starts back and then didn’t have things go his way last time. Should run a big race at odds.
Offenbach is in career best form. Thrashed them down in Tassie last start and was very, very good before that in Melbourne. Flexible racing style means the tricky barrier isn’t as bad as it looks on paper and will be in the finish.
Barwon Express was reasonable in the Mornington Cup when coming from well back. Very consistent before that and has the class.
