Flemington - 3 November 2007

Race 10-ELLERSTON CAPITAL STAKES 1400 METRES 05.15 P.M.

Big O’s Oracle

1 – Royal Ida
5 – Lord of the Dance
2 – Valedictum

Royal Ida is used to carrying the big weights so 58kgs won’t be a problem here.  Crushing victory first up and gets to pet distance here.  Has won over the track and trip before last spring when carried the proverbial grandstand.

Lord of the Dance maintained his impressive 1400m record last start with a barnstorming win and should be able to dictate terms in this race too which makes him hard to catch again.

Valedictum will appreciate the drop in class here and is drawn to get a soft run from barrier 2.

Other hopes to Roman Squire, King Johannes and Amerryking for your multiples.

Shaggy's Selections

5 - Lord of the Dance

8 - Amerryking

2 - Valedictum

Lord of the Dance was very, very impressive last start. Should get a soft lead and will be difficult to run down.

Amerryking was good behind a couple of good horses last start. Drawn to get a cosy run and will be running home strongly.

Valedictum was far from disgraced last start in a hot Group 1 field. Good record at the trip and on track and this looks a top chance.
