Purple Moon's lead up run was a perfect cup trial. Really hit the line hard in the last 200 metres after being held up for most of the straight. Stays all day and has the right jockey on board to take the major prize.

Master O'Reilly has been the revelation of the spring and still gets in with a very winnable weight here. Bit of a trick barrier but other than that, everything is going for him.

Blue Monday has got Melbourne Cup written all over him, as he continues to run home well in every race he contests and 5th run in from a spell he should be primed.

Princess Coup been impressive since crossing the tasman and 3rd in the Caulfield Cup and 2nd in the Mackinnon auger well for a bold showing here. She represents the best of the mares.

Eskimo Queen is just coming good at the right time. Scratched at the barriers for the Caulfield Cup before a super effort in the unsuitable Cox Plate. Thrashed them in the Queensland Oaks and looks likely to relish this distance. Great chance.

Mahler has already won a restricted race over this distance in England carrying 57kg as a 3YO. That's good form in anyone's language for a race like this. Will take beating.

Princess Coup endured a horror run in the Caulfield Cup and still ran home strongly for 3rd. Should be in the finish if she replicates that run.

Purple Moon was another that looked good in running home in the Caulfield Cup. Should have run a place after being blocked for a run in thestraight. Gets the distance and a 3kg weight turn around on Master O'Reilly. Will be running home strongly.
