RACE 8-ATA/BOB HOYSTED HANDICAP 1000 METRES 04.50 P.M.
Big O’s Oracle
7 – Immortality
1 – Let Go Thommo
10 - Snowden
In a race which has questionable depth, Immortality is a very reliable conveyance. Gets into the race on the minimum weight, has brilliant acceleration and if he’s anywhere near fit should take this race out.
Let Go Thommo has his share of weight but is always in the mix and has the advantage of being able to come down the outside rail. Is a recent Group race winner and has class edge on most of these.
Snowden creates interest. Hadn’t raced for 2 years when won at the provincials in January and has been freshened up since. Previously was a very promising juvenile and whilst the 1000 metres may be a bit short he’s likely to be over the odds.
Shaggy's Selections
3 - Zupaone
4 - Lucky Diva
8 - Something Anything
Zupaone has a fair bit of class about him and had been taking on all the superstars through the Spring. Drops back to take on the 2nd tier of sprinters and flies over the 1000m.
Lucky Diva found G1 level beyond her last start and looks well suited here. Doesn't have a great record at Flemington, but is racing in career best form.
Something Anything recaptured some form prior to his spell. Doesn't win out of turn, but has an excellent record fresh. Expect a bold showing.
