Immortality was disappointing over the spring carnival however, thrives at this time of year and was only narrowly defeated by Happy Glen at Caulfield over 1100 metres last start after a freshen up. Back to the 1000 metres suits, as does the small field and he is a winner down the straight, coincidentally defeating Let Go Thommo.

Let Go Thommo is getting on in years however, still represents a class edge on his opponents. He generally takes a run to hit his peak however, the claim helps get him in OK at the weights and his best is well above that of his rivals.

Happy Glen has registered consecutive city wins and there’s no reason why he can’t go in with the job here. Should be handy to the speed in running and will take a power of beating.

Let Go Thommo is the fresh horse on the scene and the real class of the race. Stacks of weight after the claim, but loves the 1000m and has the class to win first-up.

Immortality was quite game behind Happy Glen first up and should be fitter for that run. Does seem to be a better horse down the straight and will be hard to hold out.

Happy Glen is flying at present and held off Snappy Tom to score a hattrick of wins last start. Still weighted well for this after the apprentice claim and has an excellent record over this trip.
