Race 4-THE BART CUMMINGS 2530 METRES 01.45 P.M.
Big O’s Oracle
7 – Dolphin Jo
10 – Light Vision
2 – Cefalu
Dolphin Jo has been extremely competitive in Listed races this campaign over shorter trips and gets up to pet distance here. Was taking ground off the likes of Maldivian and Douro Valley last start which is a good recommendation for this.
Light Vision is a horse on the up and has been winning well at the Sandown races of late. Possesses a devastating sprint and can use that to advantage here.
Cefalu was a dominant winner last Sunday and has run well in this race previously. Will bowl along in front and make his own luck and will prove hard to run down.
Black Tom has been steadily improving this campaign and wouldn’t surprise to see a run from him and Bay Story enters this race first-up as he did last year when running 3rd so big watch on him.
Shaggy's Selections
6 - Bay Story
12 - Red Lord
10 - Light Vision
Bay Story has a good first-up record, is drawn to get a lovely run and is pitched in with 53kg. Very strong chance at odds..
Red Lord is a very promising horse who has run a couple of respectable races in his last couple of starts. On the Cups trail and this distance suits. Will be running home strongly.
Light Vision has been going about his work quietly, having won his last 4 races on the spin. Amazing record at 2000m plus and sure to make presence felt.
