Race 6-DANEHILL STAKES 1200 METRES 03.25 P.M.
Big O’s Oracle
10 – Chinchilla Rose
7 – Sleek Chassis
2 – Scenic Blast
Chinchilla Rose is perfectly suited here with the fast tempo and a 4kg weight drop from her last start when she flew home and would have won in 2 more bounds. Strong Sydney juvenile form holds her in good stead here.
Sleek Chassis was arguably Australia’s best 2 year old last season and she showed she lost none of that when beaten an eyelash first up. Meets Chinchilla Rose worse at the weights but is still a definite winning chance.
Scenic Blast was awesome winning last week and looks like a really top line sprinter/miler. Only has to back up to be in the finish here.
The race has that much quality I couldn’t even find a spot in the Top 3 for Royal Asscher but if you like her then don’t jump off now. Diplomatic Force never saw daylight last start and will be good odds today and can run a cheeky race.
Shaggy's Selections
3 - Emjay Hussey
9- Royal Asscher
2- Scenic Blast
This is a crackierjack field with most of the horses having legitmate claims. I've gone for a horse on the rise in Emjay Hussey. His win at his only race start was nothing short of sensational and the horse he beat has went on to frank that form. Might be too quick over the 1200m.
Royal Asscher destroyed her rivals last week and although I'm not keen on the back-up, she has the class and is familiar with the track.
Scenic Blast was excellent last week, but I just have a slight query about him coping down the Flemington straight. Should be running home strongly.
