Clavillo is ideally placed to return to the winner’s stall in this event. Has been searching for this distance and has been finishing his races strongly at recent efforts over the mile. Hasn’t missed a place from 4 starts at this track and distance and loves soft ground. Hasn’t been badly treated at the weights either with only 2.5kgs over the minimum. Could prove too good for them.

Doin’thehardyards has been narrowly beaten at his past two starts and deserves a change of luck. He drops significantly in weight from narrow defeat behind Joontoo Gemini last start, and he meets her far better off in this as well. Should be running on at the business end.

We Wonder didn’t have much luck at Flemington last time out when worked hard in the run. He’s a consistent type who rarely runs a bad race and should roll forward from his wide alley and get across OK. Each way value.

Miss Percival is now getting up to her ideal distance range and wasn't far away despite finishing 9th last start. Drawn ideally and should be good each way value.

Doin’thehardyards should have beaten Joontoo Gemini last start, but was held up for a run and this distance looks to be his go. Tricky barrier, but should go back anyway and will be finishing strongly.

Johnny Knoxville is a sometime jumper who was excellent over this trip last start behind Behold. That looks a decent formline into this and despite being loathe to tip a jumper in a flat race does look a good winning chance.
