Race 4-TBV/GALLAGHER BASSETT CHAMPAGNE STAKES 1200 METRES 02.00 P.M.
Big O’s Oracle
8 – Antarctic Miss
3 – Little Arrow
9 – Arcadia
Hot little race here with some up and coming fillies.
Antarctic Miss was fantastic at big odds last start and keeps rising to every challenge this campaign. If she can get a nice trail in behind the speed she could be very hard to beat at good odds. Will appreciate a bit of give in the track as well.
Little Arrow looked like a very impressive galloper before going for a spell including soft win at Caulfield in April. Will get a nice trail from the draw here and she’ll be hard to hold out.
Arcadia looked the goods winning at Seymour last start and Williams/Hayes combination means she must be included.
Shaggy's Selections
10 - Smoochum
9 - Antarctic Miss
7 - Snowfield Lady
Apparently there is a bloke who makes his living out of backing the 2nd Hayes runner in each race. Smoochum fits the bill. Good effort at its only race start and then put away for a long spell. Go well.
Gotta stick with the ice maiden here in Antarctic Miss. Great effort last start and if she gets a little cover she'll be right there at the end. If you can get the early 20-1 on offer, jump on it.
I just have an inkling that Snowfield Lady will run well first-up. Drawn to get a good run and does appreciate a little moisture in the pitch.
