MONEY MAKERS
MELBOURNE
Champagne Harmony
Was a well beaten 2nd however, beaten by Mic Mac who’s undefeated in 4 starts and could be destined for better things, was the only horse who raced on the tempo that didn’t drop off and that was only her second race start.
Blazonry
Doesn’t win out of turn but hard to ignore her effort from the back to almost win the mares’ sprint. Ready now after two runs back.
Definitive
Giant striding 3 year old who finished well in the Alister Clarke Stakes for 3rd. Waiting to see him get to 2000 metres and beyond on a big track – AJC Derby?
SYDNEY
Tickets
Must be handy considering he nailed the spruik horse Manhattan Rain and they both flogged the remainder of the field.
Hot Danish
Super super mare. Had no right to pick up the leader Belong to Many in the Breeders Classic yet did it comfortably in the end. Happy to back her in anything up to 1500 metres – Coolmore Classic ideal.
Glowlamp
Heartbreak filly who’s yet two win from 14 starts however, she’s placed in more than 50% of her runs and she came from nowhere to finish 3rd and would have won in 3 more strides. Should break through if they can keep her to the sprint trips this preparation.
Portillo
Had to settle too far back from her wide alley and didn’t have the clearest runs in the straight – hit the line hard. Very capable mare looking to emerge from Samantha Miss’ shadow this campaign.
Youthful Jack
We predicted it last week and he didn’t let us down – just a G.U.N. racehorse – should continue on his merry way against his own age group this preparation.
MONEY MUNCHERS
MELBOURNE
Brazen Hussey
Honest little mare but has been struggling in recent times and she hasn’t really grown much since her early days.
Keano
No excuses on Saturday and has been starting silly odds for a horse that had only won a maiden and a Saturday restricted race.
Utility
Horrible, horrible animal.
SYDNEY
Snow Alert
May not handle wet tracks however, he’s been looming up in most of his career starts thus far and hitting the imaginary brick wall.
All American
Continues to tease running on from the back – another of David Hayes’ start trio from last Autumn (Von Costa De Hero, Reann) who don’t appear to have come back as well this season.
