MELBOURNE

 

Diamond Envy
Won’t be racing against any superstars however, he’ll be the fresh middle distance horse on the scene while the others are coming to the end of long preparations.

 

Offer it Up
Peter Morgan does it again.  Missed the kick, circled the field and flogged them.  Definitely capable of making it in black type races.

 

The Sportsman
Went down fighting behind the much fitter Command Prince.  Sure to strip fitter for the effort and best trips are usually 2000 metres +.

 

Stellamac
Another P Moody mare worth keeping your eye on.  Flashed home in mares’ sprint and goes well up to a mile.  Stakes winner in Sydney previously so has ability.

 

Cocoa Tycoon
Honest mare who was racing over shorter than her best however, never got a crack at them in the straight.  May be winning earlier than you think this preparation.

 

 

SYDNEY

 

Don’t Tell Ted
Honest toiler who ran home well in moderately run 1500 metre race.  Probably best over 1900 – 2000 metres at Rosehill.

 

Desuetude
Very promising 3 year old who was only let down in the final 200 metres and gave rivals a spanking.

 

Black Pirhana
Got a long way back in very slowly run open sprint but thundered home along the fence to get within a length at the finish.  Has come back well.

 

Vecchia Roma
Got smashed from pillar to post a few times in the straight in the Missile yet still managed to run 4th.  Very adaptable mare who’ll go close with any luck next time.

 

Red Lord
Turned in his usual good fresh run and set for another profitable campaign over the middle distances.

 

 

 

MONEY MUNCHERS

Potomac
Was in a moderate race, bar the winner, had the race run to suit but just battled home.  Doesn’t win enough for mine.

 

Live in Vain
When you can’t beat half the field home in a race full of stragglers it’s time to think about pulling up stumps.

 

Mille Rose

Honest but simply doesn’t win.

 

 

SYDNEY

 

Lodge the Deeds
One time promising middle distance horse who couldn’t raise an effort against average lot on Saturday.

 

Danz in Paris
Soft lead, very meek in the straight.

 

Grizz
Good ‘ol Grizz.  You have now qualified for platinum membership of the Money Munchers club and take your place alongside Spielmeister.

 

Pooties
Is going for a spell but nevertheless worth mentioning the disgraceful effort.

 

Referees
Hasn’t been able to progress beyond restricted class this preparation.
