In a race where there are a few unknowns with debut runners and provincial form, I’m going with safest option in Typhoon Fury. 3 seconds from 3 career starts against what has been relatively strong opposition and can breakthrough here with race experience on his side.

Mazuka is a debut runner out of sire of the moment Exceed and Excel. Looked like a very well educated racehorse in his barrier trial win when did all things right and there is a fair wrap on him coming into the race.

Bid Spotter showed good speed at his race debut when only weakened late in the piece. With natural improvement from the run, he can run a race although does have to overcome a slightly tricky barrier draw.

I could pick any three horses in this and still miss the winner...such is the gamble on 2YOs.

I am quite keen on Mr Profumo though. Raced wide on the speed before sticking on well behind the smart Sugarbabe last time. Suspect he will go better on top of the ground and should run well.

Mazuka is a superbly bred colt having his first run. Flogged them in a recent trial and the stable has an uncanny knack with fresh horses. Go well.

Garnde Jardin is a son of Redoubte's Choice who held on well before just getting pipped on the line in a smart Caulfield field last time. If he copes the Sydney way of going he will run well.
