Hard to know where to look in this race with a number of horses running around for fitness for later staying races and some others coming to the end of a long preparation.

One horse who doesn’t fall into the above categories is Tommifrancs. Showed a lot of ability when racing in Melbourne and past two Sydney runs indicate that a mile at Randwick should suit perfectly, as he’s been very strong at the finish on both occasions. Likely to be a bit of speed in this race which will suit and did finish 2nd to Falaise over similar distance last campaign, who was in the midst of a winning streak at the time. You should get very attractive odds here.

Musket is a boom horse with a lot of upside. Sensational win first up when came off a decent break and has always carried a weight of expectation being a close relative to Makybe Diva. Inside barrier will make things a little tricky but he’s not up against much here.

O’Crikey has strung 3 wins together in a row and no reason why he cant’ keep the streak going. Should work over from his barrier to be handy to them and he’ll be chiming in at the right time.

Element is an extremely honest and courageous horse who will be fighting hard at the end of this race but, 1600 metres at Randwick may just be a touch beyond him.

Musket was brilliant winning first-up when he really found the line strongly. Looks to have come back in fine fettle and probably has too much class for this field.

Element has been beaten by O'Crikey at his last 2 starts, but gets a little weight turn around in this. That should be enough to see himk beat O'Crikey home and will make his own luck out in front.

Taken at the Flood is a resuming staying type who has come-up fresh before. Trialled reasonable well behind Mutawaajid into this. Could run home well.
