You can put a line through Moatize’s last run in the Tulloch Stakes, as he was poleaxed at the top of the straight when making up considerable ground. He got going again late and still finished ahead of or not far behind some of his rivals here. Will need luck from barrier 2 however, is a horse with a lot of potential and with the right breaks, this seems his race.
Jabal Tarik ran on well without threatening in the Tulloch Stakes and doesn’t have to improve to be competitive in this. Has still yet to place at both of his attempts at 2000 metres however, that has been in quality races and Damien Oliver should give him the perfect trail behind the speed from barrier 3.
Imvula was never sighted last start however, that could be attributed to the wet track. Previous form was more than sufficient for this and he could finish all over the top of them if they go too hard in front.

Moatize was checked near the 400m mark last start when he was starting to run home strongly. Looks a horse on the up and should run well.
Rockwood was very game leading into the straight last start before being run down late by a very smart horse. Should get it easy in front here and may be hard to run down.
El Daana has been racing consistently against some very good horses in Adelaide and should she handle the Sydney way of racing she should be in the finish.
