In what is a relatively weak race, there appears to only be a few genuine winning chances.

1 – Typhoon Fury
12 – Sarthemare
2 - Gogocanny

Typhoon Fury was outclassed in the Slipper however, still got within 5 lengths of them. Previous form in the Slipper lead ups was very consistent and this race provides him with his chance to break through for his maiden victory. Will get all the favours from barrier 1.

Sarthemare has also been racing well in the Slipper lead ups and is a Black Opal winner where she beat Typhoon Fury. Will need to do a bit of work from barrier 13 however, she could conceivable roll forward and prove very hard to catch.

Gogocanny has had only the one career start in lesser grade in Adelaide however, that was a very comfortable win and they wouldn’t be bringing her up here for a picnic.

Gogocanny won well at his only race start in Adelaide and this is a race quite devoid of real class.

Typhoon Fury was outclassed in the Golden Slipper, back to a more appropriate class and is drawn to get the gun run here.

Evangel was caught out wide last time, but fought on strongly and should be improved for the run.
