Strong Choice has been running in much better races at his past two starts and is nearing a win. Was home for all money last start before being bloused late by Hoystar. Can take up a handy position here in a race which appears devoid of great speed and he’ll look the winner at some point.

Light Red should have won last week after being bailed up for half of the straight and flying home late in the piece. Well weighted here on the minimum weight and if he can settled a touch closer in running should prove the testing material. Adaptable in all conditions so wet track won’t be much concern.

Hoystar proved he was the real deal last time when he overcame a tardy start and motored down the outside to win in track record time. Starting to creep up in the weight and not entirely convinced he’s a wet tracker however, will get all the favours from barrier 1.

Five Ways has been racing very consistently of late. Almost knocked off the talented Bobadah two starts back and looks like he’ll get a relatively comfortable run on the speed here. Could be in front for a fair way.

Despite running a course record last start, I'm a bit worried about Hoystar's ability to handle a bona fide wet track, so happy to leave him out and look for some value.

3 - Al Be Nimble

5 - Crosswise

Light Red probably should have won last start and gets his chance here. Nice barrier, well weighted and does like the rain effected ground. Big Chance.

Al Be Nimble was impressive winning first-up after a spell running over the top of them and should be fitter for that hit out. Has a touch of class.

Crosswise is coming off a long spell, but does race well fresh. Had been beating some handy horses last preparation and does enjoy the cut out of the ground. Expect a bold showing.
