Gutsy effort from Solchow first up when she was gassed in front, had 59kgs and was only beaten a neck in a 3 way finish. Sure she was odds on that day but she was never going to win given the way the race went against her and you’ll get much better value this time around against a field where she has a race fitness edge on most of the good ones resuming. I expect her to be up on the pace and extremely hard to beat – the unknown is whether she can run a strong 1200 metres.
Velocitea is a Group 3 winner resuming and does generally race well fresh. She actually beat Solchow 1st up last campaign and then went on to beat Group 1 winner Neroli in a high standard mares’ sprint at this track. Great barrier draw with the 2 and should have a bit of a finish on her once she gets clear in the straight. Great each way bet.
Marveen made good late ground against the boys here over the trip when resuming and will appreciate coming back to mares’ grade. Might want a little bit further however, is good enough to be in the finish.
Our Lona won a good race here in the spring and must be respected fresh. Does usually take a run to get into form but you need to be wary of her as she does run big races when she’s double figure odds.

Always had abit of time for Velocitea and this race looks to suit. Drawn weell, goes well fresh and likes the track and distance...and D Oliver on board. That's alot of ticks and expecting her to run really well.
Be Positive was extremely strong last start after enduring a horror run in transit. Should get a better run here and don't underestimate her as she is fit and in form.
Solchow was impressive last startafter carting the grandstand in a quick time over 100m. Entitled to wilt there and while she is yet to win past 1100m expect her to go very close here.
