Horse Racing Tips: Race 8-PARRAMATTA LEAGUES CLUB HANDICAP 1400 METRES 05.31 P.M.
Predicted Track: Good (Track @ Thursday: Dead. Weather – Fine/Sunny)
Big O’s Oracle
13 – Rotorua
2 – De Lightning Ridge
10 – Admirals Honour
Hopefully we’re all well and truly distracted by the carnival atmosphere and the party at Flemington by this point so we don’t have to entertain having a bet in this.
Bart Cummings trains Rotorua and that’s almost a good enough reason alone to tip him but the horse does have his fair share of ability. Should have finished closer when an unlucky 4th at Canterbury on resumption and got left flat footed last start. 1400 metres is spot on at this stage of his preparation and should represent each way value.
De Lightning Ridge appears to be on her way back to her juvenile form based on recent starts. Couldn’t hold off Street Lover at Randwick but beat the rest of the field pointlessly and this would be a similar race in standard or perhaps even less. Barrier 1 is a massive bonus for her to position in the right spot.
Admirals Honour has been up forever and probably deserves a spell but is going well enough to be a place hope. Well drawn and Madibagold & Syreon form is strong form for a race like this.
Shaggy's Selections
6 - Norteno
5 - Seen Im
13 - Rotorua
Norteno was racing against the likes of Cullen Castle last campaign and has trialled well into this. Expect a bold showing first-up.
Seen Im was another coming out of the strong Hussenor race and wasn't disgraced in that company. Honest galloper.
Rotorua has a fair bit of ability, no weight, trained by B Cummings and should run a race.
