Tough race to get a feel for. The better horses are hopeless on wet tracks therefore, better off looking for those that have some wet track credentials.
Onthelookout chased hard in vain behind Motspur here last start and will appreciate the step up to 1300 metres as he’s shown form over that distance previously. Has placed twice on the heavy previously and there were some talented horses who finished behind him at his most recent run so the form should stack up.
Sacred Choice is a handy mare who raced well in restricted mares’ grade last campaign and resumes here off a 3 month break. Has shown form on wet tracks before however, hasn’t fired fresh previously and may not be that well weighted against the boys with 57.5kgs.
Livin’ on the Edge has been finishing off his races well this campaign and dived through late for a good win in lesser grade at Randwick. Draws barrier 1 which may or may not be of his assistance depending how the track is racing as to whether it chops out throughout the day. Has wet form with a win and placing from 2 goes on the slow/heavy.
