Rosehill Racing Tips: Race 6-GREEN DAY AT THE GARDENS EXPRESSWAY STAKES 1200 METRES 03.55 P.M.
Predicted Track: Slow/Heavy (Track @ Thursday: Slow. Weather –Showers). Rail:True.
Big O’s Oracle
1 – Danleigh
3 – Dao Dao
2 – Rangirangdoo
Proven class performer Danleigh is the way to go here. Loves wet tracks and has consistently proven himself at Group 1 level having won an All Aged Stakes and when first up last preparation he beat a crack field of sprinters in Melbourne in the Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley. Has had two quiet trials leading into this so shouldn’t be too far off his peak and dubious tempo may be the only thing that might play against him.
Dao Dao is a very intriguing customer. He has a 50% winning strike rate but has only raced 14 times and is a rising 7 year old. Has alternated between Hong Kong and Australia for most of his career with his Honk Kong form being absolutely world class having placed in one of the best Group 1 mile races in this world. He handles wet and whilst this might be a touch short of his best, he should be included.
Rangirangdoo went very close in the Epsom last preparation and really established himself as a high quality sprinter/miler. Found the 2000 metres of the Makinnon stakes beyond him at the end of his campaign so suggest he’ll be kept to the shorter distances this preparation. I’m unsure that Weight For Age conditions is his go but he is adept in the wet and is another with a consistent overall record.
McClintock is probably outclassed however, he is a front runner and in the small field he may be able to sneak some cheap sectionals and be able to set up a healthy lead early in the straight. Really good 1400 metre front runner who will win some more good races this campaign.
Shaggy's Selections
