Ambers Waltz tried valiantly behind the speed machine Chance Bye in the Silver Slipper but couldn’t gun her down but did make up ground on her in the straight. She’ll be improved by that run and get a gun draw in barrier 4 here behind a pretty solid tempo. Never run a bad race in her career thus far and if she can produce the turn of foot we’ve seen from her previously, could wave them goodbye in the straight.
Crystal Lily is a precocious Victorian 2 year old who has blinding natural speed and has shown that she can do it at both ends with two massive wins at Caulfield over 1000 and 1100 metres in very quick time. Only recent failure was in the Blue Diamond when perhaps the 1200 metres was too far, but she was only beaten two lengths. Might face some pressure up front here but if she can give them the slip at some point, will be hard to catch.
Zutara caught the eye big time in the Silver Slipper when made up enormous ground from the tail of the field to claim 3rd. Might be looking for further again but the extra 100 metres here is of some benefit and if they go ridiculously quick up front then she could knock them off in the final few bounds.

Crystal Lily belted them at Caulfield and it speaks volumes that Damien Oliver chose to head to Sydney and ride this filly than stay for multiple Group 1 rides in Melbourne. If she finds the frontearly then she'll take some serious catching.
Zutara got a long way back behind Chance Bye, but was findig the line really strongly at the end of the race. Should get a lovely smother behind the epxected fast pace.
Amber Waltz is yet to run a bad race and was taking ground off the superstar Chance Bye last start. Big chance again.
