Queenslander Shoot Out is racing well at present and no reason why he can’t chalk up another win in Sydney. Sprouted wings two runs back and then chased hard but couldn’t catch Monton in the Hobartville after that horse enjoyed a charmed run up the inside. From his early days this horse always looked like he would be a strong miler so gets the opportunity to give an insight into his true potential over the Randwick mile.
Kidnapped didn’t show much in the Hobartville but was first up and being such a gross type he’d need racing to bring him to peak fitness. Loves the mile on the evidence we have to date having monstered them in the Carbine Club on Derby Day and then defeating one of the best fillies in the land in Majestic Music in the Sandown Guineas. Has never raced here however, looks like the type who will appreciate the big spaces of Randwick.
Viking Legend is a good middle distance horse from the Waterhouse stable who’s two runs back have been solid enough and whilst he may be looking for a shade further, has drawn well and will be tough at the finish – never underestimate Gai in Group 1 mile races at Randwick.

Shoot Out won impressively in the Royal Sovereign, before being unlucky in the Horbartville. Drawn to get the perfect run around midfield here and should appreciate the bigger Randwick track.
Sir Hallowell's first attempt at Sydney racing was pretty impressive as he motored home from well back on the turn in the Hobartville. Should derive great improvement from that run and should go close here.
Captain Sonador has been looking for a fast paced mile and looks like getting it here. Ran home very strongly last start and is drawn perfectly here.
