Equiano became the tenth horse in history to win a second King's Stand Stakes (1000m) after scoring a convincing win in the Group One sprint at Royal Ascot. Despite the five-year-old gelding stumbling out of the barriers hopelessly Michael Hills guided it to a very easy 1.5 length win.
Australian horses Nicconi and Gold Trail were both disappointing finishing unplaced.
