Thumbs Up & Big Fist is where the Mug Punting team take a humourous look at what's hot and what's not from the weekend’s racing.

Craig Williams & Darren Beadman
A couple of vintage rides, from a couple of vintage jockeys (although Craig Williams looks about 20 years older than Beadman). The ride on Southern Speed and Love Conquers All were both top drawer. Great work vintage midget fellas.

Cup Trials
Green Moon, Manighar, Lucas Cranach all ran fantastic Melbourne Cup trials....whether they make it into the race itself remains to be seen.

Sepoy
WOW....surely the only horse in the country who could realistically defeat Black Caviar, but we have to wait 12 months apparently (harden up Snowden).

BIG FIST

The fist will remain in the pocket this week....although Mighty High almost copped it after 2 very weak efforts in a row. The Country Cups are whispering your name, Precedence had excuses and December Draw gets an exemption for being tough as nails by running with a broken leg.
