Updated weekly, our Money Makers & Money Munchers service gives you a detailed list of horses that are going places in the near future and those that will turn punters into paupers.
MONEY MAKERS
Melbourne
Rekindled Interest
Unheralded 3 year old but boy did he find the line in the Danehill Stakes. Unplaced, but his last 100 metres was extraordinary. I’ll bet the connections can’t wait to get him back to Flemington.
Shocking
Not since Makybe Diva have we seen a horse produce efforts at Flemington like this bloke does.
Doubtful Jack
Proved he was spring class with a walk in the park win in the Bobbie Lewis sprint...the one question now remains..are you any good on a dry track?!
Sydney
Kiss From a Rose
Dynamite return after bleeding attack enforced break – on her way to Melbourne you would think.
Divorces
Was a couple of lengths away from the top tier as a 2 year old in the autumn but she may have made up that difference coming into this spring – one more bound and she catches More Strawberries who had a picnic in front and had a fitness edge. Parables and More Strawberries have bigger wraps, but I’d be on Divorces at this stage in the Flight Stakes a month from now.
Reem
Mark this one down as a potential Oaks filly – found the line as well as Divorces did although she looks like she needs more than a mile.
Herculian Prince
Sat wide and never shirked his task in the straight – great effort to run 3rd to Neeson. There’s a good middle distance handicap in this bloke, no doubt.
MONEY MUNCHERS
Melbourne
Nicastro
Had EVERY possible chance... simply doesn’t have a winning bone in his body.
Sydney
Ambers Waltz
Exposed now as just an 1100 metre sprinter.
Triple Honour
Can’t be backed in this class at this time of year.
