Updated weekly, our Money Makers & Money Munchers service gives you a detailed list of horses that are going places in the near future and those that will turn punters into paupers.

MONEY MAKERS

Melbourne

Nicastro
Massive case of pilot error prevented him from finishing a lot closer and was noticeable hitting the line hard.  Has very good 1400 – 1600 metre form from spring against the top shelf and will be suited in the autumn off season races.

Shamrocker
Whichever way you look at it, this filly’s win in the Sires was simply massive after racing wide the whole trip and mowing down quality filly Willow Creek.

Life to the Full
Tassie galloper who ran on well in 1400 metre race won by Captain Coltish.  Also suited in off season Melbourne races.

Sydney

Hurtle Myrtle
Oh so close to rolling More Joyous and they flogged the rest.  May be able to turn the tables next time seeing as she had a harder run.

Messenger
She is ticking over nicely and can see her picking up a good mares’ race shortly. Worth remembering she was good enough to run in a Group 1 on Derby Day in the spring and would have possibly placed had she not been poleaxed by a tiring horse.

Triple Honour
Big return from former Group 1 winner when charged home with big weight.  Trainer might have him right this preparation and loves wet tracks.

MONEY MUNCHERS

Melbourne

Sweet Cheeks
Juvenile who was good in spring but hasn’t shown anything in 3 runs this autumn.

Common Interest
Has been flattered by some of his early form.

Light Fantastic
All horses from the Newmarket are probably worthy of an excuse given the inclement weather but this bloke has been such a massive disappointment on all levels since late 2008.

Sydney

Pins on Parade
Racing manners are atrocious at present and is not a betting commodity.

Rangirangdoo
Highly likely that we’ll end up with egg on our face for nominating him in this section however, we’ve seen him lose tight finishes at 4 of his past 7 starts and it’s becoming a disturbing habit.
